The passage of the "stop-gap" 5 mill, 2 year operating levy is the first
step on a path toward longterm financial stability in the Westerville City School District. The district is also
currently involved in a performance audit with the Secretary of State's office which should be complete in August 2004.
The results of the audit will provide direction as to where the district can save money and where the district is
underfunded. The Board of Education has also passed a resolution to eliminate $ 8.8 million from the district
budget for the 2004-2005 school year.
Throughout this process WeVOTE will continue efforts to communicate and
foster a good relationship between the Westerville Community and the School District.
